The ISEARC Journal of Islamic Socio-Economic Studies (IJISES) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Islamic Socio-Economic and Research Consortium (ISEARC). The journal provides a platform for the dissemination of scholarly work that examines issues situated at the intersection of Islamic jurisprudence, socio-economic theory, public policy, and sustainable development.

IJISES accepts original research articles, conceptual papers, and critical reviews that engage with Islamic legal and ethical perspectives in relation to economic and social phenomena. The journal prioritizes methodological rigour, theoretical clarity, and relevance to contemporary discourses in Islamic socio-economic studies.

Scope of the Journal

The journal covers, but is not limited to, the following areas:

• Theoretical and applied studies on Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah and socio-economic frameworks

• Analysis of Islamic finance, zakat, waqf, and related institutional mechanisms

• Legal and policy dimensions of Islamic social and economic governance

• Faith-based approaches to environmental ethics and sustainability

• Research on poverty, redistribution, and social equity in Muslim contexts

• Critical studies on the halal economy, ethical consumption, and regulation

IJISES is published twice annually. Submissions are accepted in English, Arabic, and Bahasa Indonesia. All manuscripts are subject to a double-blind peer review process and must comply with the journal’s editorial and ethical guidelines.
